WOW, JUST WOW!! You have to try this cute place in the arts district. The ambiance will blow your find. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. The food here is absolutely incredible. I came here with a friend and we shared everything, I think that’s the way to go. The biscuits were so buttery that they just melted in your mouth!! The cauliflower was the best cauliflower I’ve ever had. Not to mention the chicken which was so tender. The mint tea was so perfectly minty and came in a cute little mug. We got all desserts, and they were pretty mid. I would say have a fantastic dinner here then head over to the Van Leeuwen!

Unexpected cooking and surprising flavors. The food is prepared with respect for the ingredients, and sometimes the sides become main courses. Glad we ended up here! The cocktails are great, though they can take some time to arrive. The place itself is impressive, and the music was perfect.Try the cornbread and the pork chop, the server recommended the potatoes, and she nailed it.(please get rid of the % extra)

Manuela is a really busy spot. I was meeting someone there who got stuck in traffic and ended up m late for our reservation. Hostess was very nice, reassuring me they would hold my table, but she couldn't seat me first and let me start with appetizers while I waited because their servers only put the whole order in once. She said I could order a snack at the bar... Except there was no space available at the bar. When my friend arrived and we were seated, everything on the menu looked good. We ended up ordering cream biscuits, shrimp and grits, French toast, and roasted sun chokes. Cream biscuits were amazing - the crisp top and soft and moist separable layers inside. The shrimp was delicious but the grits were too thin. I think the broth that came with it changed its texture and made it a bit watery. The French toast was fine but not especially memorable. The sun chokes were quite good, nice crunch and flavor. Additional warning - they do use paper-based containers, which is usually a good thing... But by the time I got home, I saw that the containers soaked up the broth and the grits, as well as the oil used to cook the sun chokes. If you need any food boxed up, make sure it's not liquid or oily.

Manuela, located in the Arts District, is a beautiful and unique restaurant that seamlessly blends artistry with farm-to-table cuisine. During our visit, we explored their garden, where they grow fresh vegetables for their dishes. For starters, we ordered the cast iron cornbread, Louisiana shrimp aguachile, and Chicories salad. For the main courses, we shared the Heirloom Mary's half chicken, sea bass, diver scallops, snap peas, potatoes, cauliflower, and a half rack of spareribs Every dish was outstanding, with the half chicken standing out—perfectly tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The restaurant also features an extensive wine list and creative specialty cocktails. Our waiter, Nate, and the wine director, Bryan, were both incredibly helpful and absolutely wonderful. We can’t wait to bring our friends there next time!
